Spring comes early at the Hanbury Gardens in Italy. The garden rejuvenates in the spring ready for the long hot summer, and the garden is full of colour and life.

•The Giardini Hanbury are looked after by the Italian State

•The gardens are open to the public (there is an entrance fee) but the main concern of the Italian university that looks after the garden is research so there are very limited visitor facilities and parking.

•The gardens are fairly unkempt in places, but this adds to their charm. Also, amazingly, they also have very few visitors so unless you coincide with a coach you will probably find no queues of people.
